Creativity meets Personal Care
My interest in making soap and other personal care products began several years ago. While shopping for soap, I realized I didn't like the scents nor did I like the ingredient list. That began a period of googling and experimenting with various fats and butters, oils and fragrances, to create the things I like and appreciate.
The soaps I create are based on research into the effects of plant oils and butters on the skin for a variety of conditions, from dryness to wound closure. Sustainable soap making is at the heart of what we do at All About The Soap, ensuring that every product reflects our commitment to natural, eco-friendly practices. The research I typically use is from the National Institute of Health research library, supplemented by insights from other passionate soap-makers. This combination allows us to craft soaps that are not only effective but also kind to both your skin and the planet.
The result is a product I hope you enjoy. The ingredient list is fairly simple and pronounceable. I source my ingredients from healthy and natural, or organic, sustainable producers.
Rugged and Gentle, and Smells Really Good
When I craft soap, my focus is typically on the experience of the bar, the skin-feel, the fragrance, the lather, and other elements that contribute to the overall use experience. Using the hot process method, I achieve greater control over superfats, the extra oils that do not get converted to soap in the cooking process and are available for the skin when the soap is used. This method aligns with my mission for sustainable personal care. Rustic and rugged, but gentle on the skin, this soap will also get you squeaky-clean. At All About The Soap, we ensure that the colors used are natural and muted, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and quality.

A mission to be cruelty-free
Our cruelty-free vision is not only focused on our animal friends, but on our planet as well. We cannot have compassion and care for the animals of the world and continue to abuse the land itself. That abuse manifests as starvation and loss of habitat for animals; as much an act of cruelty as testing products on their bodies. While some few of our product contain lard or beef tallow, we seek sources of free-range, non-GMO, pigs and cattle raised and processed as humanely as possible.
Our goal is to minimize our environmental footprint and do as little harm as possible.
